For years, Special Operations Teams lived and fought alongside the local Afghans living in the Helmand Valley. These Teams stood toe to toe with some of the most experienced warfighters the world had to offer, people who had been perfecting war for over 50 years. Through this, to help best protect their Afghan neighbors, Teams mastered the art of controlled, extreme, precise violence on those who would wish their neighbors harm. These Teams and their members began to be affectionately known as the Helmand Valley Gun Club (HVGC)
