The 5-inch cut is unlined and close to the leg, which trims the excess fabric that tends to get in the way. The details stay functional: deep front pockets and a rear YKK zippered pocket to secure essentials, bartack stitching to reinforce the seams that take the most load, and a stretch waistband with a front-exit drawstring to hold the fit.
